William Grant & Sons at Strathclyde Business Park (SBP) have an exciting opportunity for a rare character to join our team, to provide technical expertise to ensure maximum efficiency and performance from engineering assets and support the delivery of the SBP Packaging and Supply Chain strategy. Are you a skilled Bottling Maintenance Technician with a passion for keeping production lines running smoothly?

Main Responsibility

  • Complete and review routine inspections and preventative maintenance on bottling machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime and increase throughput at the correct quality standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance equipment performance and optimise efficiency.
  • Use our Computerised Maintenance Management System (IFS) to maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure that safe working practices and quality procedures are strictly followed to ensure compliance with HMRC, environmental legislation and ISO requirements to produce a safe product.
  • To provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from production and engineering assets, ensuring planned and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with bottling, vat hall and site services maintenance personnel, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring objectives are implemented throughout SBP.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Be time-served in a recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Have sound knowledge of safe working practices such as risk assessment, LOTO and permit-to-work processes.
  • Be familiar with product safety, and quality compliance processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
