At William Grant & Sons, learning is how we build capability, grow talent and create a high-performing organisation, not an add-on.
As a Learning & Development Manager, you will partner with Business Units, HR colleagues and leaders to shape capability solutions that strengthen performance today and prepare our organisation for the future.
This is a highly collaborative role, working across the business to identify critical capability gaps, translate business priorities into development roadmaps and ensure learning investment delivers measurable impact. You'll play a key role in embedding the William Grant Way, supporting competency frameworks and driving the consistent application of learning processes and standards across the organisation.
If you enjoy combining solutions thinking with practical delivery, influencing stakeholders and building capability that makes a real difference to business performance, this role offers the opportunity to do exactly that.
Key responsibilities
You will partner with Business Units and HR teams to understand capability priorities, identify critical competency gaps and develop learning and development roadmaps aligned to business objectives and the William Grant Way.
You'll support the implementation of competency frameworks, provide expert guidance on learning and development processes and ensure consistent application of L&D principles and standards across the business. You'll work closely with leaders to understand performance challenges, provide insight into capability needs and help shape practical development solutions that build individual and organisational capability.
Day to day, you'll coordinate the delivery and implementation of development programmes, support internal trainers through coaching and feedback, track learning plans and budgets, facilitate core programmes and evaluate programme effectiveness to ensure learning translates into improved performance and stronger talent pipelines. You'll also gather and share insights that continually improve the quality, relevance and impact of learning across William Grant & Sons.
