The Group Finance Systems team is part of the wider Group Finance function and plays a vital role in managing, governing, and maintaining the core data within William Grant & Sons’ ERP system, IFS10. Compliance, control, and governance are at the heart of what we do, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our finance systems. As the Group Financial Systems Analyst, you’ll support the Group Finance Systems BAU Team by driving best practice, strengthening controls, and collaborating with colleagues across our global teams.

Key responsibilities

As a support function you will be working with colleagues within Finance and the wider business in both solutioning problems but also ensuring compliance with established controls and governance standards. 

The role requires you to combine your technical systems expertise with financial process knowledge, to manage and maintain master and basic data, support workflow updates, assess impact and build business justification for governance sign off.  

With a strong customer focus, you will respond to ad-hoc queries about our ERP system and provide a solution-focused service to resolve system queries. Alongside this you will fully manage, implement and change basic and master data in the most efficient manner possible in line with best practice.

About you

We're looking for a well-organised and proactive individual who is confident working independently while also contributing as a valued member of the Group Finance Systems team. You'll be comfortable challenging constructively when needed, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. 

 

Whether your background is in finance with an interest in technology, or technology with an interest in finance, you'll bring experience of ERP systems, processes, reporting, and continuous improvement. You'll be solutions-focused, highly attentive to detail, and enjoy supporting users by understanding issues, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer service. Previous ERP experience is desirable, although knowledge of IFS is not required.
