Compliance Manager – Elixir Distillers Ltd
Are you a confident, proactive leader with a passion for operational excellence and regulatory compliance? Elixir Distillers has a unique opportunity for a Compliance Manager to own and shape the compliance agenda across our growing businesses, from distilling operations and warehousing to visitor experiences, our agricultural estate, and food safety in our restaurants as well as our head office.
What you’ll do:
· Lead and embed a culture of compliance, Health & Safety, and Occupational Health across the business
· Oversee HSEQ and HMRC compliance, ensuring safe systems of work and operational excellence across Tormore Distillery and Estate, Portintruan Distillery, and Head Office
· Integrate Occupational Health and H&S principles into everyday operations, from distilling and warehousing to visitor experiences and food operations
· Support hands-on operational processes, including disgorging, racking, blending, and packaging of whiskies and spirits as the business grows
· Influence and partner with teams at all levels to deliver a unified, risk-managed approach to compliance
What we’re looking for:
· Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in a Compliance, Legal, or Risk Management role, ideally in industrial operations; experience in distilling or food & drinks is highly desirable
· Deep understanding of statutory requirements for Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental management, Compliance, HMRC, and GDPR
· Experienced in managing operational risk, audits, and regulatory compliance frameworks
· Degree or equivalent professional experience in compliance, legal, or related areas; professional certifications (NEBOSH, IEMA, IRM) are highly advantageous
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge across all levels of the organisation
