Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Brand Home Guide and Hosts to join our team. You will be the face of Holyrood Distillery, delivering exceptional visitor experiences through guided tours, whisky and gin tastings, and outstanding service in our bar and retail space. If you have a passion for spirits, storytelling, and hospitality, this role is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Host engaging tours of our distillery, sharing the story of Holyrood and the whisky-making process in an informative and entertaining way.
- Lead guided tastings of our whisky and gin, educating guests on flavour profiles and production techniques.
- Work in our bar, serving drinks and offering recommendations to enhance the visitor experience.
- Provide excellent customer service in our retail shop, assisting guests with purchases and sharing in-depth knowledge of our products, as well as assisting with bookings and ticket sales.
- Maintaining stock levels of bottled products, glasses and consumables throughout the day.
- Support events and private functions, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere, ensuring the Brand Home is always presented to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
- A confident, engaging, and enthusiastic communicator with strong public speaking skills.
- Passionate about whisky, gin, and spirits, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or a customer-facing role is preferred.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings. Shifts generally vary between the hours of 10am and 9pm.
